This seems to be one hot rumor after her dad was spotted this past weekend in Chicago talking to team owners stating he wants to find Danica a team. What a huge win this would be for NASCAR if they could add Danica Patrick into the already interesting mix of personalities housed within their empire. It makes a lot of sense to me that both parties would want to do it so don’t be surprised if we receive confirmation on this very soon. Juan Pablo Montoya of the IRL has already confirmed he will be racing with Ganassi in 2007.
I guess the bigger question will be what is going to happen to the IRL without Danica? bye bye
Danica to NASCAR?
World Cup Viva Italia

Italy defeated France yesterday 5-3 in a penalty kick showdown to win the glorious World Cup. Their victory though will forever have two black clouds hanging over it. The odd thing about it is I’m not sure which one will be the bigger one years down the road.
The first black cloud is the HUGE scandal going on with Italian club teams and the accusations of paying off referees. There was eight players in the World Cup final who are on these accused Italian club teams. Juventus is a powerhouse in club soccer and literally could be cast to the minor leagues of soccer if found guilty.
The second one is the red card given to French star Zinedine Zidane. He came out of retirement at the request of the French prime minister to assist “Les Bleus” at World Cup 2006. This is the same man who lead the French to the World Cup in 98′ in a 3-0 win over Brazil. “Zizou” is the quintessential star with class, but he flipped his lid yesterday at an inexcusable time. Zidane ended up headbutting an Italian player and was kicked out of the match with ten minutes left in overtime.
I know you would never give up such an honor, but I’m sure Italy would have preferred to win in a simpler manner.
Bulls Continue Offseason Makeover
Two days after the huge announcement that “Big Ben” Wallace will be a Bull next year comes the news of a Tyson Chandler trade to the New Orleans Hornets. Chandler who has 5 years and $50 million remaining on his contract was traded for P.J. Brown and J.R. Smith to help ease the Bulls payroll now that Wallace is aboard. Many analysts already felt the Bulls could win the East with the addition of Wallace so I wonder how they feel after this most recent move? My personal opinion is this trade further improved the Bulls, but they are not ready to step up and win the Eastern Conference this coming year. I do feel the moves are setting things up for a legitimate shot in two to three years.
720 Dunk Is Not a Dream

Until recently the only way a 720 dunk could be accomplished was via the video game world, but that was changed in a big way this week. Taurian “Air Up There” Fontenette of the AND1 tour astonished teammates and and fans with astonishing dunk during a game. You will need to watch the clip below a few times to believe it, but make no doubt about it because the 720 is now for real!
