LA Dodgers as Hot as their Nacho Sauce

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers won their 10th in a row last night after disposing of the Colorado Crockies 7-2. This now puts the Dodgers a stunning two games above .500 for the season at 57-55. They are now only one and a half games behind the San Diego Padres in the pathetic NL West. I can assure you that the Dodgers could win 20 in a row and no team in MLB will be scared of them.

Cincinnati BUNGLES

Cincinnati BengalsCan someone…anyone tell me what the heck is going on up in Cincinnati? I can’t remember in my lifetime one team with so many run-ins with the law in such a short time period. Cincinnati Bengals guard Eric Steinbach is the most recent player to be arrested after driving his boat under the influence on the Oho River this past weekend. He is only one of five Bengals players who have been breaking the law. We certainly can’t forget wide receiver Chris Henry who has been arrested FOUR times since December ’05 and is on trial this month in Orlando, Fla. for a gun charge. Then you have newly drafted defensive players Frostee Rucker being arrested for spousal battery and A.J. Nicholson for burglary and grand theft. Finally let’s not forget Matthias Askew who last month had to receive the effects of a stun gun because he resisted arrest. I really don’t think you can blame coach Marvin Lewis for not controlling his players because these are grown adults doing these things outside of his supervision. I do think though it’s time for some major steps to be taken before the Cincinnati Bengals have to play their games on a prison field like in “The Longest Yard.” Is it a coincidence the tiger stripes slight resmeble prison stripes??? I think not!

Report: Rhett Bomar Dismissed from Oklahoma

Rhett Bomar

Rhett Bomar and another player not named have been reportedly dismissed from the Oklahoma football team. The report indicates starting quarterback Bomar and another player received pay worth more than the actual work involved with their job. Bomar was an impressive redshirt freshman last year for the Sooners and was ready for a break out season so this will deal a major blow to the Oklahoma program.

Watch out Drakkar

Derek JeterDerek Jeter has a new line of men’s grooming products heading to stores soon to compete with you. The first item is a Derek Jeter cologne that will bear the name “Driven”. I’m sorry, but if more than 5% of the people who buy these products live 200 miles or more outside of the greater New York area then you really must get a life. I know I don’t want to smell like a sweaty Yankee shortstop nor do I know many others who want to either.

Reggie Bush Officially a Saint

Reggie BushIt was only a week ago that people were speculating Reggie Bush might sit out the entire NFL season and re-enter the NFL draft next year. My how things can change in one week when two parties sit down and really negotiate. Reggie Bush has come to terms with the New Orleans Saints and should be in practice with them starting today. The deal can earn Bush up to $62 million with a little more than $26 million of the deal guaranteed. I’m sure New Orleans is thrilled to have this behind them and to now focus on preparing Reggie Bush for the upcoming NFL season.

Landis Lying?

Floyd LandisIt is being reported that some of the testerone found in the urine of Floyd Landis is synthetic and not naturally produced like he has been claiming since this story broke. The second test should be released this Saturday and will be the final determination on whether he cheated the system during the Tour de France. Landis was at one time a wonderful story, but now no matter the outcome it has been tarnished for eternity! 🙁
