Mr. Bryant has dropped at least 50 points in a row the last four games. It’s a shame the Lakers are in the West because if they were in the East we could watch LA and Kobe put on a show in the NBA Finals. No one in the East could beat the Lakers if Kobe played like this video clip below, but they just don’t stand a chance in the West.
Tony LaRussa Asleep at the Wheel

Tony LaRussa the St. Louis Cardinals manager was arrested early this morning with a DUI because he was asleep at the wheel of his SUV. Tony was stopped at a light and was found all hunched over after a couple of cars finally went around LaRussa after a couple of cycles through the stop light. The cops were finally able to wake Tony after rapping on his window and that led to him failing his sobriety test and blowing .093. I to this day don’t understand why these athletes who have so much cash can’t pay a taxi or hire their own personal driver.
Schaub Shipped to Texans
The Atlanta Falcons traded their back-up quarterback Matt Schaub today to the Houston Texans today. The two teams will switch first-round picks this year and Houston will get Atlanta’s second round picks in ’07 and ’08. This shocks me because it basically states the Texans have given up on five-year vet David Carr. I understand Carr hasn’t gotten in done in Houston, but their offensive line couldn’t hold back some defenses in high school. Schaub is not nearly as mobile as Carr so this could be a train wreck in the making. I think Schaub has solid potential, but this doesn’t seem like the right place for him.
My Apologies

Sorry about the lack of posts over the last three days. Stonecold has been down in beatiful Pinehurst, NC for a business conference. I did get to swing the sticks on Course No. 1 Monday and it was a BLAST. Anyways I am back and ready for the Sweet Sixteen games starting tomorrow.

Tommy Amaker Axed

Michigan University announced they have fired Tommy Amaker as their mens basketball head coach. Amaker coached six seasons in Ann Arbor with a 109-83 overall record, but only 43-53 in the Big Ten. The most important thing to note is Amaker didn’t get the Wolverines into the NCAA Tournament once in his tenure. There is an ass load of names being tossed around already as the successor for the head coaching job. Mike Montgomery, Tony Bennett, Lon Kruger, Sean Miller, Steve Lavin and of course Rick Majerus. Good luck to Tommy and Michigan as they go their separate ways.
