Pacman Loves TNA

TNA wrestling and Pacman Jones

When you think things can’t get any wilder with Pacman Jones he decides to kick it up another notch. Word is out that Pacman is very close to signing a deal with TNA (Total Nonstop Wrestling…I always thought it meant ti$$ and a$$) wrestling. Supposedly he won’t be actually wrestling, but he will have a major role in the storyline. At least the wrestlers of TNA don’t have to worry about his two special moves the “Pacman Bomb” or “Black Rain”

Anyone for a game of bull poker?

This is honest to goodness a real event sometimes held during the halftime of rodeos. People from the crowd basically sit down at a table while a bull is let out of its pin. Check out this video clip of a game of bull poker going VERY wrong! BTW check my mans head on the left side when leaving the arena.

Natalie Gulbis Hits the Jackpot

Natalie Gulbis

SportsUnderground.com’s #1 Top Sports babe won her very first LPGA tournament this past weekend. Gulbis defeated South Korean Jeong Jang in the first hole of a sudden-death playoff on Sunday at the Evian Masters. We are so proud of our little Natalie and we wish her even more success in the coming months.

Garnett to Beantown

Kevin Garnett

It was a little over a month ago we discussed our thoughts on a Kevin Garnett trade to Boston. We didn’t think there was a chance the trade would actually happen, but it turns out we were wrong. It is being reported a deal is in place to send Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff and maybe even Ryan Gomes to the Minnesota Timberwolves for KG. Who would have thought the Celtics would give up all that talent for Garnett? I think the Celtics have to be thought of as a contender now though in the East now with Garnett alongside Ray Allen and Paul Pierce.

Braves Beef Up

Mark Teixeira trade

The Atlanta Braves have required a much needed first baseman in Mark Teixeira today from the Texas Rangers. Teixeira is batting .297 this season with 13 home runs and 49 RBIs and will be a major upgrade from Julio Franco who was playing first for Hotlanta. Texas traded Teixeira and middle relievevr Ron Mahay for Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Elvis Andrus and two minor league pitchers. Saltalamacchia and Andrus were considered by many to be the Braves top two prospects. The Teixeira acquisition will be helpful this year, but did the Braves actually give up too much?

Bill Walsh Has Passed

Bill Walsh

The sports world has lost a great one today with the passing of Bill Walsh. The innovator of the West Coast offense and the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers for 10 years died this morning after a long battle with leukemia. Walsh not only turned around a struggling 49er franchise when he took over rather he turned them into a dynasty by winning three world titles in 10 years. May he rest in peace.

Strahan Considering Retirement

Michael Strahan

May I ask why? Does he feel the Giants are going to be that poor this year that its not even worth his time to give it a shot? We all know he has a big career coming in TV gigs, but I think he is thinking of calling it quits to early. I find this quite odd and I was wondering what the SU.com peeps thought?

Cody Paul is the Heat

Has anyone heard of Cody Paul? I’m guessing no since he is currently only playing Pee-Wee, but I have a feeling in a few years you might know him. Check out this video clip displaying his highlights in a season where the Los Alamitos Griffins went 15-0 and won the national championship. Impressive!

Godspeed Skip Prosser

Skip Prosser has passed way today due to a massive heart attack. I’m a huge fan of ACC basketball and Skip was class all the way. My thoughts go out to the Prosser family and everyone at Wake Forest University.
