Picture Perfect

Colt Brennan

The Hawaii Warriors finished out their perfect season last night at home against the Washington Huskies. The Warriors were down 21-0 in the second quarter, but Colt Brennan completed 42-50 passses for 442 yards with four TD’s to earn a 28-21 victory. The 12-0 Warriors deserve a BCS bid because they are very similar to the exciting Boise State Broncos from last year.

  1. Awesome .. great… wonderfull.. Hawaii has the 144th ranked SOS. Along with Ohio State which has the 43rd neither team should be included in any BCS Championship discussion. If you use the SOS VTech has #4 and Mizzou has the 3rd ranked SOS. Georgia is 21st and LSU 26th. Even USC is 73rd and Kansas 1 spot behind. Ohio State is going to go, but they beat a lousy Big 10 schedule and their only loss was to a team that has the #10 ranked SOS in Ill. heck Wisconsin is 52nd.

This shows that a playoff is the best way to go .. use the Top 8 and go from there and let the champs show it in a tourny not by a computer.

  2. I didn’t mention that Hawaii should be considered for a BCS Championship game rather a BCS game in general.

I totally agree it shouldn’t be LSU and Ohio State in the BCS title game because they aren’t the two best teams in the country.

A playoff is a must, but we won’t see that for another three years at least so until then we can only complain.

Stonecold’s right ….. a playoff is unfortunately still a ways off and I’d love to see an 8-team throw down. Why can’t they immediately (2008 season) implement the 1?

They should match the top 4 BCS ranked teams in whatever 2 bowls are up in the rotation. This year, it’d be OSU, LSU, VT, & Oklahoma in a 4-team battle. Maybe the match ups would be slightly different but those are the top 4 rated BCS teams. They play a “bowl” game as normal Sugar, Orange, Fiesta, Rose, etc and then have a “BCS Championship” game the second weekend of January.

I think the OU/WV game should be fantastics and I look forward to how Colt “Heisman” Brennan does in primetime exposure. Their offense really is explosive & sick.

  4. I agree with a playoff and would love to see it. However, all this talk of who is playing best RIGHT NOW is non-sense.

It doesn’t matter how you play at the end of the season — it matters how you played ALL season. Multiple losses are not a sign of the best team for a SEASON.

How could people possibly think early losses don’t matter??? Lets just play 8 exibition games and 5 regular season…
