Damn Gina!

Gina Carano

Gina Carano is new on the scene in mixed martial arts fighting, but is quickly becoming a phenomenon. She is currently 5-0 and is scheduled to fight against former Hook n Shoot champion Kaitlin Young on the CBS EliteXC debut on May 31st. This is the same show that Kimbo Slice will be fighting in the feature bout. Don’t know about you, but I will be tuning into to watch Gina and you can take that to the bank.

Barkley is Done Gambling???

Charles Barkley

I’m sure a lot of you heard about The Wynn casino in Vegas going after Charles Barkley last week for a 400,000 marker they loaned him many months ago. If not the Wynn went very public with their intentions to collect their money and this enraged Barkley to say the least. Barkley said this was all a misunderstanding and quickly paid the debt. It is well known that Barkley is a huge gambler and he has even admitted to losing over $10 million over the years. Well, it seems this latest incident has made a huge impact on his life because Barkley announced tonight on his TNT show that he is done with gambling. He apologized to friends, family, etc for this latest incident and is committed to quit gambling. I am a huge Barkley fan and I have met and hung out with him person so I wish him the best because it is extremely hard to stop something you have been doing for so many years!

Keith Langston Update

South Boston Speedway

SportsUnderground.com’s favorite racer was in action again this past weekend, but this time he was at South Boston Speedway. Keith “Mississippi” Langston had clutch issues again and didn’t have the opportunity to get in any practice before qualifying. That being said “Sippi” was able to qualify 13th out of 19 to give him a fighting chance. As usual, Langston drove his aggressive manner and was able to pull out a fifth place finish. Langston will be back at Orange County Speedway this coming weekend and will be focused on keeping his points lead. Nice work at SOBO Keith!

Justin Henin Outtie 5000 G

Justine Henin

At the ripe old age of 25 Justine Henin is retiring from professional tennis. Henin won two grand slams last year and was #1 in the world upon her announcement today. Also, Justine announced her decision at a news conference roughly two weeks before the start of the French Open, where she has won the past three titles and four overall. It’s really interesting for an athlete to retire so young, but in tennis she is defitely a veteran and the skills go fast.
