I don’t know what Lou Holtz or Beano Cook is smoking, but it must be some potent stuff. We mentioned yesterday that Lou Holtz had officially lost his marbles and now it seems Beano Cook has as well. Holtz and Cook are claiming that Notre Dame will be in the BCS Championship which to me is ludicrous at best.
Lou isn’t saying that ND will be 1 of the 2 best college football teams in the country and Lou isn’t saying that if ND played anybody this year that they could and would beat anybody. What Lou is saying is that given the 2009 ND football schedule there is very little reason to expect fewer than 11 or 12 wins for the Irish. That is, of course, highly debatable and in the end I don’t see it happening, but Sweet Lou and Beano do!
